Topic: The Mercy Ships

Caroline will talk about the work of this pioneering international health charity. Their hospital ships bring free, life-changing surgeries to women, men and children across sub-Saharan Africa. In partnership with African nations, they train healthcare professionals, build stronger medical services, and fight for the health of everyone.

Now retired from the NHS in Wales and England, Caroline is a speaker and a volunteer from both a medical and administrative perspective for Mercy Ships UK, a non-governmental charitable organisation. There are currently two ships in the fleet, ‘Global Mercy’ and ‘Africa Mercy.’
